The only other discernible difference I've come across is the location of the recoil spring is in the stock for the M2 vs over the mag tube on the Affinity which makes them balance differently, and apparently is also a pain to get to on the M2.

It's a sweet rig but I also own a 12 and 20 Franchi Affinity for waterfowl. Same triggers on the Benelli's and Franchi's. My M2 20 was actually worse than the Franchi 20 in the stiff loading department. The shell catch has to be bent (which Benelli customer service did, along with lightening the trigger). Still a bit stiff, but that changes with ammo brand. I do have a Franchi Affinity 20 Compact coming, it is 43.375 in. - 44.375 in. OAL vs. 47.25 in. of the std.

The Franchi has a traditional forearm and receiver while the Vinci models are one piece. The magazine tube on the Franchi is like most auto loaders that threads into the receiver. The Vinci's have their safeties at the front of the trigger guard and the Affinity is at the back (like other Benelli auto loaders).The have crazy POI issues due to redesigned recoil reducing chevrons in the stocks.
