I recently purchased an older Marlin 39. It is the HS variety of the model 39, but upon removal of the bolt I discovered the firing pin is broken. Does anyone know does the model 39A firing pin fit the model 39's and if not does anyone know where a model 39 firing pin can be purchased?Guess what, the lower half of the bolt interferes with the hammer strike. This expierment was done on a 1949 336RC, it came without crossbolt, no trigger block, only half cock and two piece pin. I replaced the two piece with a one piece. When the bolt was between 1/8th and 1/16th back it would not ignite the primer but it would leave a slight dent.

I have a manual from a Model 15YN and a lot of the parts are identical. I am thinking that this firing pin spring is a standard part used in a lot of guns. However the Model 15YN uses the same firing pin, but the spring P/N is 420994. I am guessing that it would work in my Model 2000.
