Aug 16, 2022 · To build a wooden wall, you will first need to create a wooden frame. To do this, you will need to have carpentry level 2, 2 planks, and 2 nails. Equipping a hammer and right-clicking on the floor will bring up the “Carpentry” menu. From there, select “Wall” and then “Wooden Wall Frame” to create the frame on the ground. If I remember correctly, log walls are stronger at low levels of carpentry, but as you get higher the plank walls surpass them. I don't think the difference is ever too massive, but once you get carpentry up it's probably a smart idea to start making proper walls due to material usage, unless you literally have a forest directly next to where you're building, maybe. For me this usually happens when I exit to main menu and load the game again. Because in normal condition the walls usually will go almost fully transparent leaving only the borders visible.
