For a few years, and many deers, i have been carrying a 23" barrel. It works good. However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf. Someone recently did chrony rifle testing with equal volume loads of 777 and RS (2 granulations of 777). The RS was easily 20% slower. Perhaps P would have only been 10-15% slower.
